Wii U Will Not Be Entirely About Graphics, But Graphics Are Important to Zelda Games

Zelda Wii U

Recently, Miyamoto has stated that the Nintendo Wii U, the next console, will not be all about enhanced visual experiences. However, with some of the titles that will be on the system, like the Legend of Zelda series (more importantly, Zelda Wii U), he states that these games will need that enhanced visual experience. Meaning though, I think they will focus on more realistic or high definition graphics for Legend of Zelda games and, say, less detailed for games like the Super Mario series.

What are your thoughts?

“I think they will focus on more realistic or high definition graphics for Legend of Zelda games and, say, less detailed for games like the Super Mario series.”

Quite frankly, I stopped caring about graphics altogether. And not really for good reasons.

    Nintendo gives MM, fans complain
    Nintendo gives TWW, fans complain
    Nintendo gives TP, fans complain
Finally, they try to combine the best of all worlds with SS, and hell completely breaks loose

Really, Zelda (and especially its schizophrenic fanbase) are things I need to take a rest from

Thinking about the delicate state of the franchise makes me feel sadder that I am already =(
