Youtube User, Sean Klitzner, recently posted a video exposing how the Legend of Zelda works. He found out that if you head north, you will run into Octoroks who will move and act different depending on how fast you type in your name and travel to the next screen. He also figured out the money making games values never change, even if you reverted your save state.
Back in 2007, Imagi Animation Studios had made their own fan-made trailer for The Legend of Zelda. It depicts no specific Legend of Zelda title, but the trailer does have some pretty good animations and models that you swear were a part a Pixar Film.
In the video, it seems like Princess Zelda is transporting something far away, possibly the Triforce of Wisdom. Once her carriage was attacked and her knights killed, she was saved by Link and his bow. Then Ganondorf (who appears quite dashing) appears to attack Link and Zelda, and Link pulls out the Master Sword, which looks like the one from A Link to the Past.
News10 recently got their hands on The Wind Waker HD and were able to gather a bunch of interesting information about it. One bit of interesting information is that the item menu is no longer on the start menu, but now is on the Wii U Gamepad. You can easy select an item and place it on whatever button you want now.
Eiji Aonuma, the producer behind the Legend of Zelda series, has recently stated interest in making downloadable content for future entries in the puzzle-centric franchise. Unlike most other companies, Aonuma’s policy is a cautious one. He wants to ensure Zelda games already have as much content as possible, with DLC being an option only if they feel they have enough content to warrant it. See below for details.
I’ve decided to go ahead and start a video mailbag series for Zelda Sanctuary. If you have any questions about the Legend of Zelda series, I’ll be happy to answer your questions. Feel free to also send theories about any games in the Legend of Zelda series as well. And, as time goes on, you can feel free to leave video responses to my videos as well.
If you want to go ahead and send me some questions, you can send an email through our contact page and I’ll mention you in our video!
Eiji Aonuma was recently interviewed by Engadget about the Legend of Zelda series and it’s future. In the interview, Eiji Aonuma stated that if the Legend of Zelda team kept making remakes of games, they wouldn’t grow in knowledge. Remaking The Wind Waker was the first step to completely understanding the Nintendo Wii U console; the knowledge they gained from making the game from the ground up would now help in finishing Zelda Wii U.
As for news on the Legend of Zelda Wii U game, the Eiji Aonuma did say they are hard at work working on the newest title, but have said that they have nothing worthwhile to show about the game.
Next Level Games, the developers behind Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, recently have stated that they would like to work on a Legend of Zelda title in the near future. Though they are happy with how they worked on Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, they stated that they are happy working with any of Nintendo’s IPs and want to work on a Mario and Zelda title.
“Really, we are grateful to work on any Nintendo IP but if there are any wish-granting entities listening out there, we would love a chance to work on a Zelda or Mario game!”
A Legend of Zelda fan recently got her Yearbook Quote posted on reddit and has gone viral since then. This fan, named Suzanne, quoted one of her favorite grunts from Link which was “Hyaaaaaah!” for her yearbook photo. While some decide to use quotes from famous people in history, Suzanne decided to draw inspiration from the Legend of Zelda series.
A junior high school janitor recently decided that he wanted to spend his time (and possibly school supplies) on drawing a few Legend of Zelda drawings, and even a drawing of Yoda from Star Wars.
Disbala, a member of GBATemp, has been working hard on re-texturing Twilight Princess using Skyward Sword‘s textures. As you can see in the following images, you can tell the massive difference between Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword; while Twilight Princess is dark and more brown to fit with the overall style and atmosphere of the game, Skyward Sword is far more colorful and cheerful.
Personally, I think that with Skyward Sword’s textures, Twilight Princess looks far better than it did originally, but with the dark story the game has, I don’t think a colorful world like the one in Skyward Sword, would really fit with Twilight Princess.
